31: Are you keeping your energy clean?
===
[00:00:00]
Jo: Hello, beautiful soul. And welcome back to the podcast. I have a question for you for this episode. And that question is, are you keeping your energy clean? Question mark. Because everybody that I [00:01:00] know has a physical hygiene practice, you know, brushing your teeth, taking your shower, putting on deodorant, that kind of stuff. But most of the people that I talked to you or that I know don't have an energetic hygiene practice. And as we are learning about. Uh, our bodies. We know that in this 3d world that we have a physical body and we also have an emotional body. And a mental body. And an energetic body. I'm sure I've talked about it on this podcast. At some point. But we are all made up of energy, right? We're made up of atoms and at the base level, it's just a bunch of energy. So why do we not have energetic hygiene practices? Now, if you do have an energetic hygiene practice, let me know in the comments, because I want to know what you're doing because I'm a little nosy and I like just seeing what everybody else is doing too. If you don't have an energetic hygiene practice and you are completely new to [00:02:00] this whole concept, don't worry. We're going to get into it. So, like I said, at the base level, we are all just energy. Right? We're just a bunch of vibrating, atoms that happen to like each other. And my frequency is different than your frequency, which is different than somebody else's frequency. And that's how we differentiate between people. So just for a moment, I want you to think of everybody on this planet having a different radio frequency. We are all a bunch of radio stations on different frequencies. So the fact that I'm me means that I'm vibrating on like 99.1. And my husband is vibrating on 99.2. And my son is vibrating on 1 0 1 0.5. We all have our own frequencies. And we talk a lot about raising our frequency. And vibrating on a higher level and positive vibes only, and all of that stuff. And I think [00:03:00] consciously attempting to vibrate at a higher level or consciously just focusing on vibrating at a higher level is not as important as a lot of people think that it is because when you're getting really deep into your shadow work. Doing that shadow work and learning about yourself, learning about all of these different pieces of you. Loving them. Releasing the things that need to be released that will naturally raise your frequency. So raising your frequency is more of a by-product than it is the main mission. Or maybe it is the main mission and this is just how you do it. But I think a lot of people are really just focused on being positive and high vibe only, and no negativity and stuff, but. The reality is that in order for us to ascend to these higher frequencies, we need to release. Some of the things that are kind of bogging us down, that we're holding on to that we're not addressing. So. All of that to say, having an energetic [00:04:00] hygiene practice allows us to disconnect from the people that we've come into contact with. It allows us to protect our energy. It allows us to not become the subject of an energy vampire or somebody just kind of sucks away your energy. It allows us to pull back our energy and more or less control where it goes. As opposed to it just kind of leaking out everywhere and being siphoned off by things and people that you don't really want it to be siphoned off by. So. What does an energy hygiene practice look like? Well, it looks different for everybody, right? So if you have an energy hygiene practice, Leave it in the comments for all of us to look at and get inspiration for all of the good things. But mine typically involves grounding in the morning. So reconnecting with the earth, reconnecting with source and wrapping myself in a protective energy bubble. Cutting cords with people that [00:05:00] I've come into contact with. Calling my energy back to me. Nice and clean and free from any outside debris. So I typically do this either before bed or in the morning, or both depending on whether or not I just fall asleep before I actually do it. It's done every day. Every morning. As I'm waking up, I reconnect to the earth. I do a nice little grounding meditation. I reconnect to source energy. And then I imagine all of that light filling up my body. And then creating a bubble of light around me. And as that bubble of like spreads around me, I imagine it cutting any cords, energetic cords. That are connecting me to other people or other things. And these energetic cords, if you've never heard of cord cutting or energetic cords before. They attach us to other people and these cords are formed. And these cords allow an energy exchange. Now, some of the chords are just people [00:06:00] siphoning off your energy. Some of the chords are an equal, energetic exchange. Some of the cords can even be used siphoning off somebody else's energy, depending on that relationship dynamic. So, if you're doing a cord cutting meditation, you can envision these chords. And they'll be connected to a part of your body. And that cord will connect you to that other person. You would ask your subconscious mind who it's connected to, or if you're like me I just imagine all of the cords being cut. Any place where a cord was connected to me, I imagine it falling out onto the floor to be reabsorbed and transmuted by. The earth. And then I envisioned healing light going into heal. All of the spots of me that accord was connected to, and I send healing, loving energy to whoever else was connected to the other end of that cord. I don't usually try to understand. Who the other person is. But if I notice that there's a cord that kind of re occurs and [00:07:00] reattaches, and is constantly there every time I cut cords, then I do further investigating otherwise. It's just me cutting the cords, imagining them fall to the earth to be transmuted. Sending loving energy to myself, sending loving energy to the other person. That's my daily energetic hygiene practice. And just like our physical hygiene practice we have daily practices like showering and brushing your teeth, applying deodorant. And those are like our maintenance tasks, but we also have other tasks that aren't done daily, like cutting your fingernails, cutting your toenails, doing face masks and exfoliating. That kind of stuff that we don't do every single day. But it still gets done because we need those tasks also to maintain our hygiene practices. So things that I don't do every day, but do get done often are things like breath work. I do a [00:08:00] Kundalini. Warmup and short Kundalini Kriya every day. But I don't do a full Kundalini practice. That's 30 or 45 minutes. For the entire set. Every single day. So there's things that I do every day. There's things that I don't do every day, but I do intermittently. I include all of these practices in like my self care, because really it is a big component of self-care. I like to do Epsom salt baths and with the Epsom salt in the water that salt is a huge conductor of energy. So by setting an intention that this bath is not only going to detoxify my body, but also. My energy, also, my spirit. It adds a different dynamic. So really just exploring things that make you feel good. Explore a meditation practice exploring grounding, exploring energy cleanses. There's an energy cleanse meditation on the podcast is episode 13. You can go back and listen to it, however often that you would [00:09:00] like. And then once you kind of get the hang of it, you can do it without the audio. You can still do it with audio. Whatever makes you feel good. Whatever makes you feel good. But having that energy hygiene practice is a. Huge. Huge deal. And so many of us don't have one. So let me know in the comments, what's your energy hygiene practice is. What it looks like I'm nosy. I want to know. Also, if you don't have an energetic hygiene practice. Let us know that too. And what you're planning on implementing throughout the week. And then we want to know how it makes you feel too. Okay. So that is it for this episode, I think. I just got back from my sister's wedding in the Houston area. And it was absolutely beautiful. But it is also time for me now to do a little bit of energetic hygiene deep cleanse. And call all of my energy back to me and kind of do a reset because we were [00:10:00] around a whole lot of people over the weekend. And it was absolutely beautiful. I've never seen my little sister look so happy and like a friggin princess in my life. So I was really, really excited to be a part of that. But. It is now time for me to kind of shut off and take care of my energy again. So. With that being said, I'm going to sign off. I love y'all and I will see you next week.
