Ep 13: Energy Cleanse Meditation

Jo: Hello, beautiful soul and welcome back to the Rise Empire Podcast. This episode is gonna be just a little bit different because we're gonna be doing a meditation. So if you are in a [00:01:00] spot where you are not able to safely close your eyes and be present with us for about 15 ish minutes, I suggest you pause this episode and come back to it later. If you are in a position where you can comfortably. Commit about 15 minutes of your time to being undistracted and present with us for this meditation. Today's episode, I'll be walking you through a guided energy cleanse meditation. What does that even mean? Okay. So before we dive in, let me just lay a little bit of the groundwork, the foundation of energy, and why we need energetic hygiene in the first place. First things first. We are all. Energy at our base level, we're made up of atoms and the little subatomic particles and what [00:02:00] are they doing? They're constantly vibrating and they're constantly in motion. We are at our base level energy and for some reason all of our atoms like each other. So they're kind of stuck together, right, to make us us. The weirdest thing, the thing that I sometimes have a really hard time wrapping my own head around is the fact that 99.999, whatever percent of an atom, it's a huge, vast amount of an atom, is empty space. But it's not exactly empty in the way that we think of empty space. You see the atom has a nucleus, right? It's got the protons and neutrons in the middle, and then around that nucleus you have the electrons in the electron cloud. And when we think back to high school, we're thinking back to that drawing of [00:03:00] the atom. Where we have the electron cloud and we draw the little rings around the nucleus of the atom, and then we have like the little electrons out there, right? The thing is those electrons are spinning around that atom so fast that at any point in time there could be an electron in any random space in that electron cloud. Does that make sense? Let me explain it another way. Let's pretend that we have a fan. One of the fans that can sit on your desk, right? The ones that when we were kids, we would go up to and like talk into and make our voice all distorted. Okay. Picture one of those fans. We have one of those fans and the center of that fan is the nucleus of the atom and the blades of the fan are electrons. So when the fan is off, when the blades are not in motion, you can safely stick your hand in between the blades. That is our [00:04:00] drawing of the atom. But when we turn that fan on and we put those blades in motion, that is now the actual atom. And if we try to stick our hand between the blades, now we're gonna get hit. So at any given point in time, there is an electron somewhere in that electron cloud and it's moving so fast, it's vibrating so fast that it appears solid. When you look at the fan, when it's on, unless you like blink in really fast and you can kind of catch the blades. I don't know if anybody else does that or if it's just me, but you know, that's neither here nor there. When you're looking at the fan, when it's on It appears to be one blade, All of a sudden, those three or four blades of the fan look like they've become one, and that is my analogy for the atom, because at our base level, we are all just those teeny [00:05:00] tiny atoms stuck together. But not actually stuck together because we're 99% empty space, quote unquote empty space. We are all energy at our base level. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. It simply changes form, right? That is the law of conservation of energy that we learned in physics, or maybe even before that. So with this baseline knowledge of everything being energy, I want to now introduce you to a concept called quantum entanglement. In quantum physics, there's this concept called quantum entanglement, where atoms can be separated by the entire universe they've come in contact with them one another, and what we do to one atom. The other atom is then affected in the same way. so it's like twins having that twin telepathy where if one twin gets hurt, the other twin feels it. It's the same kind of concept, but with [00:06:00] our atoms. So if our atoms come into contact somebody else's atoms, they're then entangled with those atoms. And therefore affected by whatever happens to those other atoms. This also can be a little bit hard to wrap your head around, we can go a lot deeper into this concept in another episode. But for the baseline knowledge for this episode, I want you to just play with this concept a little bit because when it comes to our energy, it is so very important that we maintain our energy and we cleanse our energy and we project our energy. So I want to introduce you to energetic hygiene. Energetic hygiene is just like our physical hygiene. We take a shower, we brush our teeth every day. We brush our hair, we make ourselves smell good and presentable in all of the things, I want you to now apply this concept of physical hygiene to your energy, because [00:07:00] your energy is so very important. To everybody, not just to you, but everybody around you as well. I'm sure you've walked into a room and you've said to yourself at some point or another, oh, the energy just feels really off in here. Or you've walked into a party and you're just vibing and you're like, ah, the energy is just amazing. And you can compare and contrast those two situations because one was like, Ooh, this energy is a little, little crazy. And in the other situation it was like, oh man, this feels so good. So energy now isn't just this abstract woowoo concept, it's an actual thing, You felt it. Science has proven it. And now we're just putting all the pieces together. So I invite you to do this energy cleanse meditation and see how you feel afterwards. This meditation that I'm about to walk you through I very vividly remember coming up with on the fly one day when I was feeling [00:08:00] very, very depressed in nursing school. I was dating this not so great guy as I did back in the day, and I was just really in a not great spot at the time. And something came to me, it was like, oh, it's your energy. I didn't know where it came from at the time, but it was my intuition. I wasn't as in touch with my body or my intuition at the time, I sat down and went through this meditation on a whim. Like it just came to me and I felt so good afterwards. So go ahead and get in a comfortable position, whether it's laying down or sitting up. If you want a meditation pillow, go grab that. Grab anything that you need, a blanket so that you feel nice and cozy, whatever that is, and then press play again when you are ready to dive in [00:09:00] and we'll go ahead and get started.
If it's safe for you to do so, go ahead and close your eyes, gently relaxing them down, and go ahead and take a nice deep breath into your belly, feeling your belly and your chest expand and letting out a sigh or a groan on the exhale. And another nice big, deep inhale into your belly and exhale, allowing your shoulders to just drop a couple of inches and continue breathing more normally Now. [00:10:00] We're going to go ahead and get grounded before we dive into the energy cleanse meditation. So as you're breathing more at a natural pace now I want you to go ahead and imagine the. Tree roots sprouting out from your legs or your feet or your bottom, whatever part of you is connected to the chair or the floor or the bed that you're on right now. And as they sprout, they grow deeper and deeper into whatever is beneath you. Down through the floor and the subfloor and the ground, the dirt, the soil beneath the building that you're in, [00:11:00] and as they grow deeper and deeper, you feel the cool dirt beginning to grow warm as your roots stretch deeper and deeper towards the center of the earth. And as you reach the center of the earth connecting to the core. You feel a sense warm energy running up the roots back to fill up your body with warm, loving, nurturing energy, filling you up from the tips of your toes all the way up your legs. [00:12:00] Your hips, your belly, your chest, filling up your arms from your fingertips to your elbows, to your shoulders, and then up your neck all the way to the very top of your head.
Until you are enveloped in a beautiful sense of grounded protection.
Now I invite you to take a deep breath into your belly, filling up your belly, your chest, all the way until you've [00:13:00] reached your capacity and exhale fully bringing your navel into your spine. And inhale again deep into your belly and exhale completely. And on this next inhale, imagine inhaling warm, glowing, clean energy deep into your lungs, filling up your body with whatever color energy feels good to you.
And however you sense this energy is just perfect.
This energy fills up your body. Attracting to it like a magnet. Any energy that isn't yours, that doesn't belong to you, that doesn't serve you. And on the exhale, I invite you to imagine all [00:14:00] of that gunk energy, all of that energy that doesn't belong to you.
Being exhaled, you might imagine that as exhaling dark gray or black energy. You might imagine that as birds flying away, you might just get a sense that the energy that doesn't serve you is leaving you. However that manifests for you is just perfect.
Now I invite you to continue breathing this way, inhaling, filling up your lungs and your belly. Imagining that energy going all throughout your body, attracting to it like a magnet, everything that doesn't serve you anymore, and exhaling all of that energy.
That does not belong to you. [00:15:00] Continue this process until the energy that you're exhaling is the same as the clean energy that you're inhaling. Until everything that no longer serves you that doesn't belong to you has been expelled. [00:16:00] [00:17:00] [00:18:00] Go ahead and just begin to breathe normally. taking a quick mental note of how you're feeling. Making note of what might be coming up for you now, and when you're ready, go ahead and open your eyes.[00:19:00]
Now you might want to grab your journal and journal out anything that's coming up for you, anything that you found interesting, anything that you just feel like you need to write down, go ahead and write it down so that you have a record of it know that whatever is coming up for you now is exactly what needs to come up. You might be feeling a little more emotional, you might be feeling really high on life. You might need to take a minute to be with yourself and show yourself a little bit of love and compassion. However that looks for you is absolutely perfect. So take some time to nurture yourself. You just did such a big service to yourself.
