Ep 6: Breakthrough Day

Jo: [00:00:00] Hello, beautiful soul. Welcome back to the podcast. I am so excited that you're here. Before we dive into the episode I want to give you a little bit of background about what I'm gonna be talking about today. So, as some of you may already know, I've been in a master coach certification program for the past almost nine months, at the time of recording. It's currently Thursday, March 9th, you won't hear this until Monday. But over the past couple of days, so Tuesday and Wednesday, we had. both facilitate and experience what is called a breakthrough day in order for us to graduate and become certified master coaches. Essentially what a breakthrough day does is we take an area of your life that you want to see improvement in, that would make the biggest amount of change for you, and we tackle all of your limiting beliefs, all of your limiting emotions, [00:01:00] everything that's hiding in your subconscious mind, we reprogram it and program in things that are going to serve you. So we take an entire day about seven or eight hours of us getting really, really deep. And let me just tell you, there were things hanging out in my subconscious mind, and I've worked on this area of my life so much. Yet there were still so many things in my subconscious mind that I had no idea were there. I just felt so frustrated with that area of my life because I felt like I had done so much work around it. I am my own best client because I use the techniques that I am certified in all the time. but there were still things that I hadn't yet uncovered because I didn't have that outside point of view. That outside perspective, it's like, it's like being lost in a magical forest where the trees are shifting and changing colors and you have no idea. Where you are or [00:02:00] how you got there, or how to even get out. All you know is that you're lost and you've been wandering for hours, if not days, and then one person flies above you in a helicopter, drops you a ladder, and you climb out and all of a sudden you're out of that forrest. That is what a breakthrough day does. So why would you even want to sign up for a breakthrough day in the first place? Well, if you've been trying all of the things like I did and nothing has seemed to work. If you know that your problem exists on a subconscious level, but you don't know how to access that subconscious part of your mind on your own, if you want the opportunity to unlock deep rooted pain, emotions, fears, and step into the next big level change. If you're ready for a big shift and a quantum leap, because quantum leap is the only way that I know how to describe what happened to me on Tuesday. If you know that you want [00:03:00] coaching, but you are super, super busy and you don't have the Time or energy to commit to a multiple months long coaching program. All of this is done in a day, so you just take a day. We work through everything and that's it. Okay. It's just one day a breakthrough day, and the transformation that comes from it is still mind blowing to me. I am blown away. by how different I feel, and yet it feels completely normal, like completely natural. And the only time that I really notice the changes or notice that I'm doing things differently is if I am like actually aware of it. So let me just tell you about my experience and my breakthrough day, and then I'll come back and touch on what I just said here about how it feels so normal. And the only time that I notice the changes are when they're pointed out to me or when I am actually looking for them. My breakthrough day experience went a little something like this. [00:04:00] I dropped the kids off at school. It was an early morning because the way that they had the schedule set up for the breakthrough days was Eastern Standard Time. I'm Central, so they were an hour ahead, we were scheduled to go from nine to five, which is eight to four my time. Which means I had to get the kids up and to school a little bit earlier than normal. The morning, didn't go super smoothly, but I got to the office with enough time to like settle in and get my drinks arranged so that I had everything and make sure that my computer was hooked up to the internet just fine and you know, all of the logistics, so we get started at eight. I was paired up with one of the support trainers from Yes Supply for my breakthrough day, we dove in and got started pretty much right away. The area of life that I was working on was business and finances because this area of my life I've had the most frustration in, and I knew that diving into this area of my life would be the most beneficial, [00:05:00] it would have the biggest impact on every other area of my life as well. So we first elicited my values in this area and it was kind of surprising to me that what I valued from having a successful business was actually pretty away motivated. What I mean by that is I was pretty motivated by getting away from things that I didn't want. I didn't want to not have money. I didn't want to not be able to go out and get the things that I want for my kids. I didn't want to not be able to pick them up from school or take them to extracurricular activities or just spend time with them, period. I didn't want to be confined to a nine to five job or working at the hospital. I wanted to have that flexibility so there were some towards motivated, which means like I want to have that flexibility. I want to be there for my kids. But when we rate the values, it's how towards motivated is it versus how away [00:06:00] motivated is it? So it's like a percentage. And a lot of mine were actually decently high in the away motivated percentage, which was just interesting to note. We elicit values once at the beginning and once at the end of the session to see how they've changed after all of the inner work that we do. So after we elicited values, we went into a detailed personal history where we dove deep into my childhood, my relationships with my family, what the problem is, how I know it's even a problem, how the problem is showing up in my life, the relationship between my problem and my family members when I first knew that the problem was even a problem. when I tell you, we dove deep. We dove deep. And the beautiful thing is that we were able to find this common thread throughout all of the things that were presenting in my life through the way that I [00:07:00] was talking about the problem through the words that I was using, we were able to identify limiting beliefs and negative emotions all through just talking it out. And then we got into the juicy stuff. We got really clear on what my goal was for this area of my life. We listed that all out and then we got really clear on how it was actually being presented in my life currently, how I didn't want to feel anymore, how I don't want to think about it anymore. We got really clear on that and then we let go. We released the top six emotion. Anger, sadness, fear, hurt, guilt and shame. We released all of those emotions from my timeline and I had done them before. I had released them before it was really interesting to see releasing them again for a second time, how things kind of changed. The different aspects [00:08:00] of the emotion that came up to be released. For example, for sadness, I don't remember the first time that I released it, what came up, but this time when I released it, it was a deep, deep sadness, almost a grief of a family being ripped apart. So it was interesting to notice the changes and the multi-dimensionality of the emotions that we released and after we released the emotions. We went back and looked at everything that I had written down and we released some limiting decisions and limiting beliefs. one of those limiting beliefs that had come up was that I was afraid of who I would become or what I would become if I had a lot of money. I was afraid that money would make me awful. So when we went back to release that belief or release that fear, that money's gonna turn me into something terrible, that belief stemmed from four or five generations ago. And what came up for me, the impression that I got was that my family had come into a lot of [00:09:00] land and upon acquiring that land, a male figure, I'm not sure what his relation was, but he became a raging asshole. Right. Like coming into all of that land turned this man into a monster and the belief from there was that money makes people monsters. And that belief was hanging out in my subconscious mind. I can't tell you how much money work I have done. and that belief had never come up before. I had never uncovered it by myself before. So , that was really interesting. But wait, it gets crazier. Okay. So yesterday after I had facilitated my breakthrough day, I texted my mom and asked her when our family had acquired all of the land in Darlington, South Carolina. Because at one point my family owned a huge chunk of Darlington and . I asked her how many generations back, and she said five or six maybe. I think it was like your third great-grandfather or something. [00:10:00] I'd have to look why? So I told her about the belief that I had released. and the impression that I got about it being a man who came in to all of this land and became just this awful person, and she said wait, that sounds familiar, because once this certain grandfather died in my lineage, his children started selling off the land. They immediately split up the land and started selling it. I was mind blown. Okay. The subconscious mind is the most incredible freaking tool that we have, and I am so lit up by it. There's so much like I have what? I'm sorry. I got a little excited there, but seriously, I didn't know how many generations back this was. This was just like, ask your subconscious mind how many generations back it was and what I got that impression, and then texting my mom and getting that confirmation just like this is amazing. The work that I get to do is absolutely incredible and that's [00:11:00] just a small snippet of what we've released yesterday. After we did all of that releasing, we did a hypnosis session so that we could program into my subconscious all of the good, juicy things that I want to call into my life. All of the habits and behaviors that I wanted to adopt that would help me get to my specific goal that I set during the session. And then after the hypnosis, we re elicited my values. And when I tell you it was like night and day difference in my values they were much more towards motivated. I feel so much more drawn to my goals. I feel so much more expansive when I think about them. I feel so much more excited and lit up and honestly, the me that I was before going into that session on Tuesday. It feels like a year ago. It feels like, I don't even really remember who that person was. I mean, she was me, but if you think about who you were a year ago, it feels so far away. [00:12:00] That is exactly how I feel. And it was only Tuesday, like just blown away. Some of the ways that I have noticed the changes in my life right now one of the things that I wanted to program in was having better boundaries around my business and family time, and one of the things that I've noticed is where before the session I would leave the office, bring my laptop home, and continue to work at home. During the time that I had my kids, so I wasn't super present with them. I was always trying to work and do things and get things done for work, and that was exhausting. After the session, I leave the office and I spend time with my kids. Like I don't even think about work until after they go to bed, and then I might maybe do something if I feel like it. Tuesday after the session, got the kids from school, went home, spent time with them, and then after I got them to sleep, I was so inspired to create a Google sheet for the breakthrough day that I was going to [00:13:00] facilitate the next day. I wanted to make sure that I had everything in one spot instead of on paper because I type faster than I write. So I wanted to make sure that I had something that was digital that I could put everything into, and it's something that I can use moving forward for other breakthrough days that I facilitate.
So I pumped that out in like zero time flat. It was insane how quickly I got it put together. I went to sleep, I got. , I was able to do the breakthrough day the next day. I felt so confident. We had so much fun. Just watching her transform in front of my eyes, watching all of the energy shift in front of my eyes was the most amazing thing I think I have ever experienced as a coach. Because you can do a lot in a single session that's only an hour long, but we had seven hours together and the amount of transformation that we achieved in seven hours. I [00:14:00] wish that I could just show you because you would be mind blown too. One of the things that my client said yesterday was that when we were reading over her blueprint. It's a document that we have set up so that we can list the things checklist style of what we want to program out versus what we want to program in. So the things, the limiting beliefs and negative emotions that we want to release, versus the things that we want to program in or instill into our subconscious. She said the first time that we read over her blueprint, her bullshit meter was going off intensely for the program in side. When I read it out to her and the program out side felt like truth. As we went through the session, we revisited that blueprint a couple of times, by the end of it, she said it was so weird because at the beginning, that program in side it felt like complete and total bullshit, but by the end of it, the program in side felt like [00:15:00] truth and the program out side felt like complete and total bullshit. I mean, how much different can your life be in one day? In one day? Everything can shift. It's a complete and total quantum leap. You go from feeling like one person one day and feeling like your best fricking version. The next, and let me just tell you, I feel so lit up by this right now. I wasn't sure that I would actually like facilitating breakthrough days just because they're so long and they're such a big investment energy wise. But I felt so lit up and so energized by the end of that day, even though we did so much, I felt amazing and so inspired and I loved them so much that I'm adding them to my offer suite. It was like so much had changed. and it feels like I'm not even living in that reality anymore. So after I get those documents from her, I'll take another look at it. I'll probably post another couple episodes on specific parts of the day. And I will absolutely post an update in a month or two, just highlighting how much has changed and how much of an impact the breakthrough day actually had. So stay tuned for that.
